Roaches in coffee maker?
OK, I’m not easily grossed out, but this is pretty gross anyway. I found a little hatched egg sack with a dozen or so baby roaches hanging around underneath the filter basket in my drip coffee maker. I also saw one adult one crawl into the hole in the back where the electric cord comes out. I removed all the visible roaches and residue, rinsed out the water reservoir, shook the machine upside down with the hole in the back facing down, and ran a water/vinegar solution through it until it came out clear. How likely is it I took care of the problem? Should I expect to have to just buy another coffee maker? How can I keep them from getting in a new one?
